Video created in 2009 with the art collective As Rutes, part of the project Ponto Brasil, where Museu da Pessoa and TV Brasil invited 4 art collectives from Sao Paolo - As Rutes, PI, Afrofuturismo and Corposinalizante - to create videos connecting their art practices with the urban space and collectivity.
We, As Rutes, created two videos for this project.
“A imensidão é o movimento do homem imóvel” - series of “interviews” about day dreaming. 6:11 min. Camera and montage.
“O rei que não sabia sonhar” “The King that couldn’t dream” - video-performance in which we as performers create an intervention in the public space of the city of Sao Paolo. In this intervention, we try to find a bird that helps the king that couldn’t dream to regain his power to dream. 6 min. Performance, illustration and montage.
Both of the videos were screened in the programming of the TV Brasil, a public television channel in Brazil, in 2010. https://tvbrasil.ebc.com.br/
